IP Policy
Digital Millennium Copyright Act Policy · Effective Date: April 5, 2026
Rentwith Pilot LLC ("Pilot," "we," "us"), a subsidiary of Astrae Holdings LLC, respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects our users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 (17 U.S.C. § 512) ("DMCA"), we will respond expeditiously to claims of copyright infringement committed using the Pilot OS platform (the "Service").
01. Filing a DMCA Notice
If you believe that your copyrighted work has been copied and is accessible on the Service in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, you may submit a DMCA takedown notice to our Designated Copyright Agent. Your notice must include:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or person authorized to act on their behalf
- Identification of the copyrighted work(s) claimed to have been infringed
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or the subject of infringing activity, with sufficient information for us to locate the material
- Your contact information, including name, address, telephone number, and email address
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notification is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner

Please note that under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing may be subject to liability for damages, including costs and attorney's fees.
03. Counter-Notification
If you believe that material you uploaded was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification to our Designated Copyright Agent. Your counter-notification must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature
- Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled, and the location at which the material appeared before it was removed or disabled
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification
- Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or San Bernardino County, California if you reside outside the United States), and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original notification or an agent of such person
Upon receipt of a valid counter-notification, we will forward it to the complaining party and restore the removed material within 10-14 business days unless we receive notice that the complaining party has filed a court action seeking to restrain you from engaging in infringing activity.
04. Repeat Infringer Policy
In accordance with the DMCA, we will terminate the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat copyright infringers, in appropriate circumstances. If a user has been the subject of three (3) or more valid DMCA takedown notices, their account may be permanently terminated without notice or refund.
05. Pilot's Intellectual Property
The Pilot OS name, logo, Pilot branding, "PilotScore," platform design, user interface elements, source code, compiled code, documentation, and all other intellectual property associated with the Service are owned by Rentwith Pilot LLC and/or Astrae Holdings LLC and are protected by copyright, trademark, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws of the United States and international jurisdictions.
Unauthorized use of our intellectual property, including but not limited to reproduction, modification, distribution, display, or creation of derivative works, is strictly prohibited and may result in civil and criminal penalties.
06. Trademark Notice
"Pilot," "Pilot OS," "RentWithPilot," and the Pilot logo are trademarks or service marks of Rentwith Pilot LLC. "Astrae" and "Astrae Holdings" are trademarks or service marks of Astrae Holdings LLC. All other trademarks, service marks, and trade names appearing on the Service are the property of their respective owners.
